![]() From the Pastor's Desk: After Jesus tells his disciples that they are the salt of the earth, he asks, “What if salt loses its taste? With what can it be seasoned?” It is a powerful reminder that we need to take care of ourselves. We need to care for our bodies and our spirits. When we come to Mass, we are nourished by Jesus’ Body and Blood, we hear His Word proclaimed, and we are sent out to be His hands and feet in our world. Finding weekly, indeed daily, times for spiritual nourishment is critical for us as disciples of the Lord. Life is busy and carving out time for spiritual nourishment can be challenging. So here is our chance! Our parish is offering the “Light of the World” retreat from March 3-6. Beginning Friday evening we will have the opportunity to nourish our souls as we remember our faith, renew the sacraments, and grow in friendship with Jesus and one another. I invite you to attend this retreat. Though he will not be joining us in person, Fr. Hugh is planning on zooming into the retreat and presenting some of the talks. Meals and snacks will be provided during the weekend and we get to go home each night to sleep. There is no financial cost to you for this retreat – it is an opportunity to make sure that we do not lose our taste as we season the world! God Bless, Fr. Kevin OTHER NEWS:
