The Sodality at St. John's was founded in the 1930's by the women of the parish.
The group, with it's special devotion to our Blessed Mother,
was founded as a way for the women of the parish to engage in spiritual and corporal works of mercy
and to assist the pastor in any endeavors he requests.
Our mission has evolved over time to read:
The St. John the Baptist Sodality acts through its organization to support, empower,
and educate all Catholic Women in spirituality, leadership and service.
St John's programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the Church and Parish in the modern world"
(as adapted from the National Council of Catholic Women).
All women of the parish are welcome to become members.
The meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month from September to June.
Yearly membership dues are $5.00.
Currently, we focus on spirituality and service through our projects and monthly meetings.
